  Be calm and take it one step at a time ,softly ,softly catchy monkey.

  When the time comes tell him that you no longer want the Jehovahs Witnesses' as your religious advisors and when he asks why , tell him that you have gained a far better understanding and insight into their errors and malpractice than you could have dreamt possible. Also you can tell him without getting into an argument that he could find it for himself as the information is out there if he cares to research it.

  Will Awareness & Understanding Eliminate War by Making it Unexceptable?

  will enough people eventually get it so that a real change occures in most governemnts or will it just keep going like it has been for a long time with wars being fought to gain control of weath and people,, and the whole human race gets wiped out?.

  one of the first things that has to happen is that people need to be "enlightened", and i think most of us here already know that "corporate owned new media" has little to offer in that direction, many in this country, and many other countries have the internet in thier own homes and independant news sources at thier finger tips(isn't wikipedia great) and great search engines like google and others, this has to be a gradually gaining momentem, source of enlightenment around the globe.you might even say the internet may be a source of medicine to combat this ideological thought virus or as some like to use the term memes(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/meme) .

  lets face it the internet if used wisely and even not so wisely is a great source for deprogramming both the bullshit feed to us by the wt but also government&corporation inspired propaganda.. anyway i think nobody could disagree, that when enough people become enlightened(a critical mass is reached) that war would end simply because the wrongness is so obvious.

  It's a tribal problem and once all the tribes (nations) of the earth reach a state of unity, when all peoples on the planet work in harmony with one another then and only then will war be eliminated.

  What we need is a United States of the World where no one country would ever dream of attacking another because it would be like a single state in America, for instance, attacking another state within the U S A ., or the Uk attacking Canada or Australia , it's unthinkable.I can't imagine England attacking Scotland ever again because we are passed all that now I hope.

  What we need is a really good reason to unify and prosper .

  Why the Watchtowers "War" argument is totally bogus

  from my own personal experience the watchtowers position on war always appeared to be one of the most difficult issues to navigate.

  a number of times when i was first leaving the wts i spoke with jws who all used this argument to show me how "wrong" i was about the "truth".

  while i knew the watchtowers arguments where wrong, i had a very difficult time figuring out exactly why it was wrong.

  This is an interesting subject and one of the most barmy doctrines put forward by the Borg.

  Thy say you can defend yourself and family but you can't defend your next door neighbour nationally.

  One of the most stupid remarks I used to hear was " you will be pleased to know during WW2 no one was killed by a JW." of course the answers to that are ; Where was the JW when my home was being overun at gun point? Where was the JW when the invaders murdered the innocents? Where was the JW when my liberty was taken from me at the point of a gun?

  The JW was not even carrying a stretcher .

  Whatever mankind has achieved, whatever progress has been made throughout its entire history ,whatever brilliant results have been made,it's been brought about by blood, and toil.Whatever blessings we have today did not come about by accident things were learnt and improved by past mistakes .It didn't improve by waiting around for God Almighty to act. Human history has proved that.

  i still can't understand what they would have to gain by being a un ngo.

  some say status and others say they could gain monitarily, things to be investigated.

  the staus and influence theory does make some sense.

  I think it gave them a certain amount of credibility when they needed to extend their operations in awkward countrys'. It gave them a key and it got them results.

  This was a prime example of the Borg saying one thing and doing the opposite in order to gain more sales.I think you will find they have sat on other worldly committees. They just kept it quiet, they think the rank and file don't need to know about all the commercial aspects of running what amounts to a very large corporation.

  It's all a a big scam.

  well, i went this weekend and there were a few key points that i thought were pretty interesting.

  one thing is that we are not to use the word 'society' any longer.

  i don't know if anybody else has heard of this before but i wondered what the reason was behind it.

  iam now as what was announced at a recent meeting that iam "no longer a jehovah's witness" all of my family and friends are witnesses so this will ailenate me from all of my friends and family.

  but i feel like i don't want to go back.

  i really hate the feeling of isolation and shamefulness while iam sitting in the meeting, what's the point of it all.

  JW Baptism = more ammo for us ex-jw's

  thought i'd supply some more ammo to those who aren't already aware of this and wish to speak to dubs and scare them half to death lol.. jw's get baptized in everything (water, organization etc) except 'holy spirit'.

  therefore their baptism does not allow them entry into the kingdom of god by the bibles own terms and jesus own words.. 1 corinthians 12:1-3 says;.

  1now about spiritual gifts, brothers, i do not want you to be ignorant.

  For me the words "Jesus is Lord " puts the Witlesses in the devils camp because they do not confirm that fact and therefore do not have God's Holy Spirit .

  "Do not give false testimony" that's another commandment they have broken over and over again during their entire history.

  Plonkers the lot of them , they do not know the meaning of spiritual gifts. The only gift they are interested in is a monetary gift.

  The baptism of a Witless , well that is a load of nonsense because it's just a dedication to the Borg.
